What is Partage?
Partage is a bill-splitting app for groups of people who already know each other, such as friends on a trip, roommates, family. It works without an account: identity is a keypair generated in the browser, and a group is joined by link or QR code, with no email, password, or sign-up.
Everything is stored on the device and encrypted before it is synced, so the sync server holds only ciphertext and cannot read expenses, member names, or amounts. The app is fully usable offline, and concurrent changes from several devices replay into identical state when they reconnect.
It installs as a Progressive Web App on Android, iOS, and desktop. There are no entry limits (except abuse), no ads, and no user tracking. Both the frontend and the sync relay are open source, and the relay is published as a container image for anyone who prefers to run their own.
