What is Paqid?

Paqid is an envelope (zero-based) budgeting app. Money you actually have is assigned to envelopes such as rent, groceries and giving, and spending comes out of those envelopes. Unused amounts roll forward each month, and overspent envelopes are shown in red.

Paqid does not connect to banks. Transactions are entered by hand, which takes a few seconds on a phone, and accounts are reconciled against bank statements once a month to catch anything missed.

Features include checking, savings, cash and credit card accounts (card spending is moved into a payment envelope automatically), transfers and split transactions, recurring transactions, monthly reconciliation, multiple budgets, and simple reports (budget vs. actual, spending by group). The phone version has its own screens and can be installed to the home screen. A whole budget can be downloaded as a file at any time.

A demo with sample data is available without signing up. After a 45-day free trial (no card required), Paqid costs $45 per year or $4.50 per month, with all features included.
