Listen to your music online, browse your photos with automatically organized albums, view your documents (such as PDF/ODF/TXT) and there are additional features available. OwnDrive’s unique external storage feature makes it possible to access, view, edit files stored on Google Drive, Dropbox, Amazon S3 etc. unified in your OwnDrive account.
OwnDrive believes in the right for everyone to own their data and therefore we focus on data privacy, data security, and an easy and unified interface to access your data. We take security passionately and therefore make sure your data is safely stored. We are based in Oslo, Norway and data stored on our infrastructure is subject to EU data protection laws and rights. Been using their free tier some quite some years and exceeds my expectations! Thanks OwnDrive for your effort in providing the free tier! And with collaborative document editing with Collabora.
I am disappointed completely with them. I opened two accounts with them. I never received an email about anything. The credentials I used in the account creation would only work to access their portal, but not cloud storage. I created support tickets and sent emails but never heard anything on either account. I finally closed both accounts and disputed with PayPal since I couldn't even get a response from them. Very poor service. It seems they are content to just take money and not carry through on their services.
This service fulfills all my needs and i absolutely love the fact that it's based on open code. A very happy OwnDrive user!
This product is ownCloud and is opensource. How can this be an alternative to the product itself?
I've just switched everything from dropbox and google to owndrive.com. Their News RSS reader is a great one and their support is amazing.
I'm happy to use OwnDrive which is an european cloud storage provider knowing that i'm free from NSA and government surveillance. I believe that sooner or later, OwnDrive has the potential to become one of the leading cloud providers in Europe. Keep up the good work OwnDrive Team!
