What is Overgrid?
Overgrid puts an adjustable grid over your reference photo so you can transfer proportions to canvas or paper with confidence. Choose your grid size, change the line color to sit against any image, and work square by square the way painters have for centuries, now without the ruler and pencil.
It is built to stay out of your way. There is no account and no sign up, nothing is uploaded, and your photos and projects never leave your device. It works fully offline and there are no ads.
The free version lets you keep a few projects and export at standard resolution. A one time Premium purchase unlocks unlimited projects, high resolution export up to 4096px, custom grid colors, and a value study mode that reduces your reference to a chosen number of tonal steps so you can read light and shadow clearly before you mix a color.
Overgrid runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Android.
