Otium puts your computer’s spare power to work while you’re away and pays you for it. It mines with your graphics card and processor, automatically picking the coin that pays your hardware the most, and stops within a second when you come back. Games and work always come first.
Your earnings never pass through Otium: the mining pool pays your own wallet directly, in the coin you choose (USDT, BTC, LTC, BNB, SOL, TRX, ETH or XMR). There’s no account to create and no ID check, just a wallet address.
Otium watches the price of electricity and waits when power would cost more than mining earns. In Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland it follows live hourly prices, so it mines through the cheap night hours. Before you start, it measures what your own PC earns after fees and electricity, so you see real numbers rather than a table’s guess.
Optionally, it can also earn from internet bandwidth you aren’t using, through Proxybase. This is off until you turn it on.
Every fee is listed openly. Otium takes 2% of mining time, and the mining software and pool fees are shown in full on the website. Earnings depend on your hardware and electricity price and are often small, typically cents to a few dollars a day. The miners it uses (XMRig and SRBMiner) are official open-source releases, checked against their published fingerprints. Antivirus tools flag every miner, so Otium shows exactly which one folder to allow.
Free and open source (AGPL-3.0). Windows, with macOS and Linux in beta.
