What is OpenSesh?

OpenSesh brings your terminals, SSH sessions, file transfers, tunnels and remote desktops into one native desktop app for Windows and Linux.

Features:

  • GPU-rendered terminal for every local shell (PowerShell, cmd, Git Bash, WSL, Linux shells), with tabs, split panes, broadcast input and saved workspaces
  • Built-in SSH client: host key checks, jump hosts, proxies, agents, one-time codes, certificates, auto-reconnect, X11 forwarding and Waypipe
  • Encrypted keychain for identities, passwords and SSH keys (XChaCha20-Poly1305), unlocked by the system keyring or a master password
  • SFTP and S3 file manager with a transfer queue, plus a side panel that follows the terminal's folder
  • Local, remote and SOCKS tunnels that reconnect on their own
  • Snippets with variables, macros, paste protection and session recording
  • Server CPU, memory, network and disk in the status bar, with no agent installed
  • Telnet, serial ports, mosh, Docker/Podman containers and Kubernetes pods
  • RDP and VNC remote desktops in tabs
  • Imports from ~/.ssh/config, MobaXterm, PuTTY, Remmina and CSV; settings sync through Git or Syncthing

Free software under GPL-3.0-or-later. No account, no telemetry.
