The best free app for WIRED transfer of data between a Mac computer and an Android phone. Can get an occasional bug.
It's okay, definitely has potential and is by far the most viable option for accessing Android on Mac, beats Commander One simply because it actually connects reliably to my phone. However, the interface is not great. It's too convoluted and slow to select a chunk of files unless it's only a handful e.g. transferring all your photos at once, you have to just select all files, transfer off, then sort. Not huge, but annoying, because shift+clicking a file should select everything between that and the previous file like literally every other piece of software in the world. It's also very slow to access large folders, which is fine, but there's no indication it's even trying. Instead of just sitting there doing nothing when you double click, a loading symbol somewhere should be added. Hanging onto this for now as I think it will do the job easily and painlessly with a bit more work.
It works fine, that stupid Android file transfer app crashes after opening and hitting "OK" and it has to be reopened every single time, super annoying! OpenMTP would be nicer if it has a setting to keep the window smaller than full screen, even better if it can show images as icons so a file like 79817923_81928098098.jpg makes sense!
