What is OpenMeetings?

Apache OpenMeeting is a free and open-source software for group communication and collaboration. It provides virtual "meeting rooms" for users to collaborate through video conferencing and messaging and features a white board for collaborative drawing as well as room-based file explorers. Users can upload and edit documents together, share their screens and send meeting invites. Sessions can also be recorded in AVI/FLV formats for playback later or through the integrated player.

Users and rooms are easily moderated and rooms can be designated as public (organization-wide) or private. A SOAP/REST API allows developers to integrate with websites or intranets and LDAP connectors and VoIP integration modules facilitate integration with key technologies.

Being Java-based, OpenMeeting runs on Mac, Windows and Linux desktops.
