What is OpenHost Domain Registry?

OpenHost Domain Registry has been providing free domain names under the .prvcy.page suffix since 2023, which is recognized by Mozilla's Public Suffix List (PSL). The service aims to ensure that individuals and organizations have access to online namespaces at no cost, particularly for personal or non-profit use. In June 2024, OpenHost Domain Registry expanded its offerings to include additional domain suffixes: .pride.moe, .pride.ngo, and .prvcy.page.

The .pride.moe domain is intended for personal websites, projects, and organizations that support the LGBTQIA+ community. The .pride.ngo domain is reserved for nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, with registrations adhering to the Public Interest Registry (PIR) .NGO Registration Policy.

The .prvcy.page domain, administered by the O3O foundation, is a public suffix included in Mozilla's PSL. Eligibility for registration under .prvcy.page includes involvement in educational or research projects related to privacy or security, participation in free and open-source projects, commitment to promoting privacy and security, or engagement in other privacy-respecting noncommercial activities.
