    Openbox is described as 'highly configurable, next generation window manager with extensive standards support' and is a popular app in the OS & Utilities category. There are more than 25 alternatives to Openbox for a variety of platforms, including Linux, BSD, Mac, Windows and PC-BSD. The best alternative is i3, which is both free and Open Source.
