Smooth and responsive. Has virtually no lag.
Unfortunately, it still doesn't have keyboard shortcuts for creating cards or navigating the canvas. The one plugin that claims to offer those shortcuts overrides [Ctrl + 🠈] and [Ctrl + 🠊] (which ordinarily move the cursor back and forth by words instead of characters.)

If I understand this right, Canvas is now a standard feature of Obsidian.. no extra extension necessary.
