Nowlert

Nowlert Community Edition is a free, open-source and self-hosted infrastructure notification platform.

It receives operational events directly from infrastructure systems through SMTP, authenticated HTTP endpoints and Redfish Event Service, normalises vendor-specific payloads into a consistent event model, applies deterministic routing rules, and delivers clear notifications to the tools teams already use, including Microsoft Teams, Slack, Discord and other supported destinations.

Nowlert is designed to sit between infrastructure systems and notification destinations. It does not replace monitoring, backup, virtualisation, storage or hardware-management platforms. Instead, it turns the alerts and reports those systems already generate into structured, readable operational notifications.

Community Edition includes a web interface for managing integrations, destinations, routes, delivery history, users, audit history, settings and backups. Routing can use integration, severity, status, host and event criteria, with priorities and fallback behaviour handled deterministically.

Typical use cases include Xen Orchestra backup reports over SMTP, Zabbix events through the authenticated Event API, Dell iDRAC events through Redfish, and other infrastructure systems that need a consistent path to operational messaging.

Nowlert CE is MIT licensed, Docker-ready and designed to run entirely on infrastructure controlled by the operator.
