What is NexoChess?
NexoChess is a free and open-source chess analysis and learning platform designed to help players understand their games and turn mistakes into practical training.
Games can be imported from PGN, FEN and supported public game links and analysed with Stockfish 17. NexoChess provides move-by-move review, engine evaluations, move classifications, accuracy estimates, critical moments, alternative lines and game conclusions.
In addition to game analysis, NexoChess includes thematic chess puzzles and training generated from mistakes found in analysed games, interactive chess lessons, opening repertoire study, an endgame laboratory, play against Stockfish at selectable strength levels, historical statistics and personalised training recommendations.
The puzzle catalogue contains more than six million positions and can be filtered by theme and difficulty. Opening repertoires can be explored through compact study trees, while the statistics area tracks performance such as accuracy, errors, openings and training activity over time.
NexoChess is available in multiple languages and its main functionality can be used without creating an account. Accounts are optional and add cloud persistence and account-specific history.
The project is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 and its source code is publicly available on GitHub.
