What is Neru?
Neru is a software for macOS that enhances keyboard-driven navigation, eliminating the need for a mouse. It offers three navigation modes: Recursive Grid Mode, Grid Mode, and Hints Mode, all of which can be used across all apps and windows. Recursive Grid Mode divides the screen into a grid for easy navigation, Grid Mode is similar but without recursive subdivision for quicker navigation, and Hints Mode labels all clickable elements for instant navigation.
Neru also supports direct mouse actions like clicks and drag & drop through keybindings, and Vim-Style Scrolling. Users can disable the software in specific apps, and it includes a Command Line Interface (CLI) & Scripting feature, which uses Unix domain sockets for fast and reliable communication, multiple concurrent CLI commands, error handling, and scriptable workflows.
