What is MusicCovered?
MusicCovered is a macOS app designed for people who truly love their local music library. It is not just an audio player with full support for FLAC, ALAC, MP3, AIFF, and WAV files, but a different way to experience your collection, putting albums, cover art, tracklists, and all those details that make listening special at the center.
If your library is made up of carefully organized albums, artwork, booklets, and metadata, MusicCovered was created to bring all of this to life through a visual, rich, and engaging interface.
What is MusicCovered
The idea behind MusicCovered is very simple. Today, many music applications focus mainly on playlists or on fast, distracted listening. MusicCovered, instead, aims to bring back the album experience, the visual navigation of your library, and the pleasure of exploring music through images and the organization of your collection. For this reason, the app offers different viewing modes designed to give more space to cover art, album structure, and everything that accompanies the tracks.
MusicCovered is designed to work with your local music library on Mac. You can browse albums, artists, songs, and playlists through a modern interface with a highly visual, collection-oriented approach. One of the app’s central elements is album navigation itself. Instead of limiting yourself to a simple list, you can explore your library in a much more immersive way, with views that highlight cover art and help you rediscover your music in a more natural and enjoyable way.
CoverFlow and visual views
One of MusicCovered’s most recognizable features is its range of visual views, including 18 CoverFlow modes. These modes do not simply make the app look more beautiful, they transform the way your library is perceived. Music is not presented as a simple list of files, but as a true collection made of albums, artwork, and visual identity. Each user can choose the mode they prefer, depending on their taste and on how they want to explore their library.
Tracklists, artwork, and booklets
MusicCovered gives great importance to visual details. In addition to album covers, the app highlights tracklists, disc images, front and back covers, and booklets. This brings you much closer to the experience of a physical format, such as a CD or vinyl record, while keeping all the convenience of a digital library. That is also why MusicCovered is especially suited to people who see music not only as something to listen to, but also as something to collect, organize, and browse.
Quick Search
As your library grows, finding an album or a song instantly becomes essential. For this reason, MusicCovered includes Quick Search, allowing you to quickly find albums, artists, and tracks. Quick Search is designed to be practical and immediate, without losing the app’s visual character.
