MSYS2 Alternatives

    MSYS2 is described as 'independent rewrite of MSYS, based on modern Cygwin (POSIX compatibility layer) and MinGW-w64 with the aim of better interoperability with native Windows software' and is an app in the Development category. There are more than 25 alternatives to MSYS2 for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Linux, BSD, Mac and Android. The best alternative is PuTTY, which is both free and Open Source.
