What is Motily?

Motily is a men's fertility app from the United Kingdom, built around one fact: sperm take about 74 days to develop, so the habits a man keeps over the next two to three months shape what his next semen analysis will show.

What it does

  • Daily check-in: eight habits with research behind them (sleep, alcohol and nicotine, heat exposure, exercise, nutrition, stress, hydration, timing), logged in about two minutes. Apple Health fills in sleep, workouts and steps.
  • Two scores: a Today score out of 100 and an Overall score that moves week by week, each weighted by how strong the evidence is for that habit.
  • 74-day journey: the four phases of sperm development, weekly challenges, and a reminder that today's changes show up in a test two to three months from now.
  • Semen analysis explainer: type in the numbers from a lab report and see each value against the WHO 2021 reference limits in plain English, then track later reports against it.
  • Partner page: your partner sees your day in the cycle, your streak and the fertile window timing on a web page, with no download and never your answers.
  • Home-screen widget, streaks, badges, crews and leagues, and an anonymous moderated community.
  • Every health claim carries its source, and the science page lists them all.

What it is not Motily measures nothing and diagnoses nothing. Unlike at-home sperm test kits (ExSeed, YO, Legacy, Mojo) it does not test semen; it tracks the habits that research links to sperm quality and helps you read the results a lab gives you. It is a lifestyle and wellbeing tool, not a medical device.

Who it is for Men trying for a baby now, men planning ahead, and anyone who has had a semen analysis and wants to understand it. Private by design: anonymous handles in the community, no ads, no data selling, delete everything in one tap, UK and EU data storage.

Free on the iPhone App Store during launch. The website publishes sourced guides on every factor plus two free tools: a semen analysis checker and a 74-day timeline.
