What is Minion Agent Framework?

Minion is an open-source agent framework tracking and implementing what frontier labs are actually shipping:

• TST (Tool Search Tool) — based on Anthropic's Advanced Tool Use research. Agents discover tools on-demand instead of loading all definitions upfront. 85% token reduction, tool selection accuracy 49% ? 74% on Opus 4. • CodeAct / PTC — code execution as primary action space, aligned with Anthropic's Programmatic Tool Calling • Auto-compact — triggers at >90% context threshold, same approach as Claude Code • Auto-decay — oversized tool responses auto-offloaded to file with configurable TTL, inspired by Manus • Skills + MCP — modular, reusable agent behaviors with full MCP support
