What is MessageKeepsake?

Keepsake turns an iMessage or SMS conversation into a print-ready PDF. It reads a Mac's chat.db file, an iPhone backup (encrypted or not, made on Mac or Windows), or plain copy-pasted text, and lays the conversation out as blue and grey bubbles with the original timestamps, contact names, date separators, tapback reactions and photos.

All parsing and rendering happens locally in the browser using WebAssembly, so no message content, backup file or backup password is ever uploaded to a server. There is no account and no subscription.

The PDF is fully generated and its page count shown before payment is requested, so you can confirm it worked before paying anything. A watermarked preview of the first pages can be downloaded free. The complete file is a one-time $5 charge.

Output is US Letter, suitable for a copy shop or a print-on-demand service. Note that attachments are only included when the iPhone backup was encrypted, and that non-Latin alphabets are not yet supported.
