What is MenuMeters?
MenuMeters is a set of CPU, memory, disk, and network monitoring tools for Mac OS X.
Although there are numerous other programs which do the same thing, none have quite the right feature set: they are inevitably obscured by document windows on a PowerBook's small screen. Those monitors which used the menubar mostly used the NSStatusItem API, which has the annoying tendency to totally reorder my menubar on every login.
The project is no longer developed. Last version, 1.8.1, can be still downloaded from the official website, but it cannot be used on Mac OS 10.11. MenuMeters for El Capitan has been created as a port of MenuMeters by Alex Harper.

Look at
MenuMeters for El Capitan which is the same exact program only it works for OSX El Capitan and still works for MacOS Sierra and High Sierra.

Of all free alternatives to iStat, this is by far the best I've used! :)
