What is mdxport?

mdxport converts Markdown to beautifully typeset PDFs using Typst as the rendering engine. No LaTeX installation required.

The web version (mdxport.com) offers real-time preview, Mermaid diagram support, syntax highlighting, and AI-powered markdown fixing. Everything runs in the browser via Typst WASM with no backend needed.

The CLI version (@mdxport/cli on npm) is a single binary supporting LaTeX math formulas, automatic CJK font detection, two built-in templates, file watch mode, and custom font installation. It works on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
