Mayak Networks is a VPN app for Android phones, tablets and Android TV. Install it, press "Connect" and the connection is encrypted: no keys, no config files, no manual settings.
It runs on AmneziaWG 3.1, a WireGuard-based protocol with extra protection against traffic analysis. If the direct path weakens, the app moves to a backup route by itself, and a connection check in the settings shows which route does not get through in your network.
You choose which apps go through the tunnel and which go directly, banking apps for example. DNS filtering removes ads and trackers, a kids mode adds adult-site filtering and safe search, or you can set your own DNS. Auto-connect after a reboot, Android's "no protection, no internet" mode and an app lock with fingerprint or PIN are built in. On Android TV everything is controlled with the remote.
Several countries to choose from, including a Russia location for Russian banks and government services while abroad. One plan covers 3, 5 or 10 devices, and its slots can be handed to family members, each with their own login. We do not throttle speed or cap traffic.
No ads: the service lives on subscriptions. We do not record which websites you open; the technical data we keep is listed in the privacy policy.
Our own app is Android-only for now. On iPhone the service works through a third-party client with the subscription link from your account, and a Linux computer can use a config file for the AmneziaWG client.
3 days free on one device once you confirm your email, no card needed. Then monthly plans from 300 to 700 roubles. Payment is by Russian bank cards and SBP (Russia's instant payment system) only for now.
