What is Mainline?
Mainline is a project management tool for software teams that practise continuous integration and continuous delivery.
Instead of a backlog, work lives on a user story map that shows who each piece of work is meant to benefit.
Stories are sliced into thin vertical increments and released continuously rather than batched into sprints.
Mainline rejects the usual Agile-theatre apparatus: no story points, no burndown charts, no individual velocity tracking, no standups-as-status-reporting. It generates flow metrics (throughput, lead time, cumulative flow) automatically from your team's actual delivery data. A
free, opt-in CI Monitor connects to your GitHub repos and surfaces long-lived branches and dropping integration frequency, helping teams build the trunk-based habits that make continuous delivery sustainable.
It is deliberately not built for teams that want SAFe, Scrum ceremonies, or detailed surveillance of developers.
