Originally created by Ladar Levison for lavabit' and is a Mail Server in the online services category. There are seven alternatives to Magma for Mac, Linux, BSD, Windows and Self-Hosted solutions. The best alternative is hMail Server, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Magma are Dovecot, iRedMail, Cyrus IMAP and Mercury Mail Transport System.
