What is MacUpdater?
MacUpdater is an application that can scan your Mac and display which of the apps that you have installed are not up-to-date. MacUpdater can also update those outdated apps to their newest versions with a simple click. MacUpdater takes care of updating all those apps that you've obtained outside of the 'Mac App Store'. MacUpdater can silently run in the background and check your apps for updates every day and let you know with notifications once a new update is available. The Free trial version let you scan for updates. However, updating more than 10 apps requires a paid license.

This app is GREAT and it does the same thing for a very, very low one time purchase price. What is not to love here?
I used AppFresh until it went kaput. Then started using MacUpdate Desktop and was paying the annual fee, then they upped it to only a 6 month cover for a price that used to before 12 months. It's just crazy. MacUpdate Desktop was also slowing down my computer and using large resources once I stopped paying the pro fee. Pretty sure they are trying to force you to pay the subscription. I am very happy that I got this to replace that junk. Now if only I can get MacUpdate Desktop off my computer. Won't let me delete it, says it's running, even though I turned off start on start up, quit the app and the menu app. It's making me mad. I had read they had started putting adware in their downloads if you use the free version. That is sneaky and just wrong.

I'm using this app every day. It is quite a convenient and effective app, helping me to keep my apps up to date.
When I first purchased MacUpdater about a year ago, I honestly didn't expect it to become one of my most valuable utilities.
