Lyraboo information
What is Lyraboo?
Lyraboo is an audiobook app for Android. It combines a library, a player and an AI narration engine: books live in the app, audio is generated chapter by chapter in the background, and playback offers chapters, speed control, progress sync and background listening.
What separates it from single-voice text-to-speech is full-cast narration. Lyraboo analyses the text of a book, separates narration from dialogue, identifies the characters and assigns each one a distinct voice, so dialogue-heavy fiction stays followable. Non-fiction is read in a single narrator voice.
Books come from two places. Over 1500 public domain classics are built into the app and free to listen to, taken from Project Gutenberg and similar archives. Users can also add EPUB, PDF and TXT files they own; DRM-protected files are not supported.
Each account receives a number of free listening hours per month. Hours are consumed once, when a chapter is first generated, and replaying audio that already exists is free.
Lyraboo is available on Android only, and narration is in English only.
