What is lutCreator.js?

LutCreator.js is a software tool that generates a Lookup Table (LUT) from photo or video editing applications like Photoshop, Lightroom, and Camera RAW. The LUT can be used in other applications such as Premiere and DaVinci. The process starts by clicking the 'Download HALD' button and selecting the LUT size, typically HALD 25, but 144 is available for extreme cases.

After creating the PNG HALD, open it in your photo editing application to apply color correction. Save the PNG without compression, or as a high-quality JPG. Click the 'Convert to CUBE' button and select the modified PNG.

The tool's algorithm interprets the differences between each pixel of the original and modified HALD, generating a 3D LUT in the .CUBE format. This process provides high customization and control over the final product.
