Training strength and endurance at the same time has one hard part, and it is not the training. It is deciding what today should be. Push too often and you overtrain. Hold back too often and you stall. Most people make that call alone, every morning, with no way to check it.
Loadcast is a coach for strength and endurance. It decides every morning, and it shows you why.
It works on two levels. First a season plan, from base through build, peak, taper and race. That is the direction. On top of it sits the daily decision.
HOW THE DECISION IS MADE
You say how you feel. Two taps, and that alone is enough for it to run on.
If you wear a watch, there is more to work with. Your sessions arrive on their own, and the decision reads what you actually did rather than what the plan said.
When your recent load runs hot, the day gets capped instead of stacking another hard session on top. When several rough nights add up, the ceiling comes down with them. Nothing here is a diagnosis. It is a dose, lowered early.
You do not have to follow the recommendation. Train something else on a given day, or nothing at all, and there is no scolding, no backlog. The next decision just works with what actually happened.
WHERE THE RULES COME FROM
Session load follows Edwards: minutes in each heart rate zone, weighted by zone. The monotony flag, the one that catches a week where every day looks the same, follows Foster. Taper volume follows the meta-analysis by Bosquet. The split between easy and hard days follows Seiler.
IT SEES YOUR WHOLE WEEK
Strength, running, cycling and swimming are calculated together, including how they interfere with each other. Not four apps side by side.
There is a nutrition side as well. What you eat gets measured against what that day actually cost you. It sits next to the training decision, it does not steer it.
Every week and every month you get a written review of what happened and what carried.
WHERE THE LANGUAGE MODEL IS, AND WHERE IT IS NOT
Same inputs, same answer, every time. There is no language model in the decision, just a fixed calculation. The chat explains that decision back to you and takes your changes in a sentence. It never makes the call itself.
What you cannot see from outside is our code. So judge the reasoning it puts in front of you, not our word for it.
WHO IT IS FOR
People who have been steering this themselves so far, with a spreadsheet, a chat with an AI, or just their own head. The decision still gets made every morning. You just stop being the one who has to make it.
Hyrox, triathlon, a first marathon, or staying in solid shape.
HOW IT WORKS
- A short onboarding about your goals, your experience and your week.
- Every morning one concrete recommendation, built on your season phase and on the 60 days of history onboarding pulls out of Apple Health.
- You say how it felt. The next decision counts that in.
- Every Sunday and on the first of the month, a review.
No comments or reviews, maybe you want to be first?
