Lithifyte

Lithifyte is a free household budgeting app and personal finance tracker that runs as a single HTML file in your browser. It imports bank statements — CSV, tab or semicolon separated files, Excel spreadsheets, and text-layer PDFs — reads them in the tab, and computes budgets, cashflow forecasts, debt payoff plans and net worth locally on your device.

There is no finance database on any server. The ledger stays in browser storage, namespaced to the signed-in account and optionally encrypted with a passphrase. The core is licensed AGPL-3.0-or-later, is free permanently, carries no ads, and exporting your data to CSV is never gated behind a payment.

Lithifyte deliberately has no automatic bank feeds. Apps with feeds keep a copy of your transactions on their servers, which is what makes the syncing possible; Lithifyte trades that away for independence, so statements are imported rather than accounts connected. A column mapper makes every import decision overridable, a preview shows the import before it is committed, figures are reconciled against the statement's own running balance, transfers between your own accounts are matched and excluded from spending, and a rule written once keeps a merchant categorised.

An optional AI co-pilot is off until enabled, per purpose, and can be pointed at a model running on your own machine so that nothing leaves the device at all. The model never produces figures: it resolves what you meant, and the calculations run locally.

An optional paid Plus tier adds hosted AI, an encrypted vault and maintained bank import presets. Made in Ireland and jurisdiction-neutral by design: it ships no tax rates for any country, and is multi-currency throughout.
