Linux Live Kit Alternatives

Linux Live Kit is described as 'set of shell scripts which allows you to create your own Live Linux from an already installed Linux distribution' and is a Linux Distro in the OS & Utilities category. There are four alternatives to Linux Live Kit for Linux, openSUSE and SUSE Linux Enterprise. The best alternative is YaST, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Linux Live Kit are Customizer (Free, Open Source), Distroshare Ubuntu Imager (Free, Open Source) and bodhibuilder (Free, Open Source).

    2. Ubuntu Live CD remastering tool.

    3. Distroshare Ubuntu Imager is a shell script for "re-mastering" your current installation. This means that the script creates and installable distribution for your current system. It excludes your home directory and any personal files.

This was a very promising alternative to remastersys (which gave rise to Pinguy Builder, Bohdhi Builder, and Linux Respin). Unfortunately, the last update to the code was in September 2015. See
