Legivel is a software that converts Markdown files into PDFs that resemble printed books, with features like consistent spacing, table headers, Mermaid diagrams, and LaTeX math. It offers three access points: a web editor for viewing the PDF while writing the Markdown text, an API that accepts Markdown and returns the PDF, and an agent connection that allows an AI agent to convert text into a document. Legivel works with existing Markdown, including GitHub tables, task lists, footnotes, alerts, Mermaid diagrams, and LaTeX math. It also transforms [TOC] markers into contents lists with page numbers. The output is a searchable PDF with embedded fonts, functional internal document links, and vector-rendered diagrams and math. Legivel only retains metadata for document counting and does not store content. Paid subscribers can seal PDFs with a personal certificate.
