What is LeanFPS?

LeanFPS is an MIT-licensed game optimizer for Windows 10 and 11, built in Rust with egui/eframe. Full source: https://github.com/Jamailar/leanfps. It detects running games, applies per-game Windows settings and measures average FPS and 1% lows through Windows event tracing. Temporary session settings are restored on game exit; persistent system settings remain until the user chooses Undo. Changes record their prior values for individual rollback and recovery.

The published optimization list excludes disabling Microsoft Defender, Memory Integrity, Windows Update and the firewall. It does not modify game files or inject an overlay. A free core includes game detection, FPS measurement and basic tweaks. Optional Pro unlocks additional tweaks for US$19 once at the current early-bird price; the MIT source can also be built locally. The published installer is about 5.9 MB. Performance depends on the PC and game; website illustrations are examples, not benchmark results.
