This game reminds me of Dota. Both good games. This seems to be an easier more colorful version. There are many other games alike. I recommend.

League of Legends is just a cash grab fashion parade more than a game. Throw that in with having toxic players in 95% of your games and half the champ pool being braindead to play.

Just another cash squeeze utilizing psychological means of getting you addicted by using mechanics straight from the casino, but hey parents don't worry your children are playing just a video game. Not to mention that it's a pure rip-off of Warcraft 3 DotA. It's sad that it even became a thing

Oh, League of Legends. You've gone through lots of changes over the years. I can't say I've been with you since your very inception, but I do think 8 years is a long time, still. I started playing League when Season 2 first started. The graphics were quite bright and hard to read, the champion models were goofy to look at, but the gameplay was fun. What happened?

Something changed around Season 5. Damage started going up and up. As I write this, it is Season 9 and damage is still way off the charts. You have champions jumping around and blowing the enemy up in one rotation. Now, the game has devolved into kill or be killed.

I'm still going to stick around for this game, but I'm finding it harder to stay interested when the gameplay is lacking an emphasis on strategy and more focused on killing quickly. Many things about League are appealing to me: the lore, the champions, the map, the game modes, the music, and the cinematics that you release. The gameplay and the client are the weakest points. I've already explained gameplay, but the client...oh dear, the client is in dire need of performance optimization. If you have a lower-end computer, it will struggle to run the client.

Well, that's all for my rant. I guess you could summarize it with the following: League used to be a great game. Now, it's an okay game.

What is League of Legends?

League of Legends is an MOBA game (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena), inspired by the popular Defense of the Ancients ( Dota 2 icon Dota 2 ) map that was made for Warcraft III icon Warcraft III : The Frozen Throne.

Players are formed into 2 even teams of champions in either a 3v3 or 5v5 match. Each player can pick a champion from a wide selection (with over 100 different champions to choose from). The game starts with each team starting at either end of the map at their respective "fountain". A match is won when either the opposing team's Nexus is destroyed or the other team surrenders. To achieve this, each team must progress through each lane to take out towers (called "turrets") to make their way to their nexus to destroy it - which in turn gives them experience and gold to make their champion stronger.

The best way to understand this type of game play is to actually play it and see it for yourself. It really is a fun game.

League of Legends is officially available on Windows and Mac. It can be installed on Linux using Wine icon Wine or PlayOnLinux - PlayOnMac icon PlayOnLinux - PlayOnMac.
