At the time I write this review there are 3 versions: 3.0 with Android 5.0 (the lightest but unable to support very recent apps), 5.0 with Android 7.1 (the most stable between compatibility and saving resources) and the most recent 9.0 with Android 9 (somewhat heavier). I decided on LDPlayer 5 and I have seen that it has some internal ads, but they have not been annoying. So I think it is the best alternative to Bluestacks and Nox Player (for the moment)
Doesn't work with HyperV enabled (i suppose it uses some VMWare tech). While I'm OK with that (and will look for other alternatives), it would be cool if it warn the user BEFORE you download 400Mb, or at least, BEFORE you've installed it.
The only Android player I could find that runs Boom Beach anymore. BlueStacks stopped working for me, but this works flawlessly and with fewer issues than BlueStacks.
Fantastic performance compared to BlueStacks (2023-02-15)
Seems okay to privacy and lightweight
I've tried many of these emulators and this is my favorite so far. BlueStacks is too heavy/skinned and Nox requires too much tweaking. LDPlayer works great out of the box and it's already rooted!
