What is Lamina3d?

Lamina turns a 3D model into flat parts you cut from a sheet on a laser cutter, CNC router, plasma table or vinyl cutter, and then put back together into the shape. It covers the construction techniques of Slicer for Fusion 360 and 123D Make: stacked slices held by dowels, pegs or spacers, interlocked egg crate slices, radial slices with locking rings, ribs that follow a curve, and the surface unfolded into papercraft panels with 13 joint types.

Before you cut, it checks the parts as a physical assembly (too thin, cut in two by a slot, not held by anything, larger than the sheet) and offers one click fixes. It nests the parts on your sheets, engraves labels, and exports SVG, DXF, PDF or EPS with cut, score and engrave on separate layers.

Imports STL, OBJ, 3MF, PLY, OFF and GLB (STEP when run locally). Runs in the browser with nothing uploaded, or locally on Windows, macOS and Linux, or self hosted with Docker. No account.
