Kopfhörer-Akku is a free, open-source Windows utility that displays battery levels for up to two Bluetooth headphones in the system tray, a desktop widget, or both. English is included in the same installer and portable ZIP. German is the default; choose English under Sprache / Language in Settings and click Speichern (Save). The choice is remembered after restarting.
Version 1.6.1 lets you switch the Windows audio output by clicking a headphone in the tray or widget. A green check shows the active output. Unique device matches are mapped automatically; otherwise select the output once in Quick audio selection. Dragging moves the widget without changing audio. Microphone and the separate communications default are unchanged; apps with a fixed output may keep their own choice.
Customize device labels, colors, symbols, fonts, battery shape, widget size, opacity, position and layout, with a live preview. Low-battery notifications and startup with Windows are available. Battery polling defaults to 30 seconds and is adjustable from 30 to 300 seconds. App update checks are manual or optionally run at startup, disabled by default; updates are never installed automatically.
Languages: English, German, Spanish, French and Ukrainian. No ads or telemetry. Settings and audio mappings remain on the computer. Requires Windows 10 build 19041 or newer, or Windows 11, x64, with .NET Framework 4.8. Battery availability depends on Windows and the device driver. Battery readings have been reported with JBL Live 770NC and JLab Rewind 2; other models are not confirmed. Downloads are currently unsigned. MIT license.
