What is KIDO?

KIDŌ is a home screen (launcher) for Android TV and Google TV styled like a sci-fi command center: a seven-segment clock, big kanji, a honeycomb of channels, live readouts and a status block that lights up in the color of whatever you're on. Your five favorite apps sit on big main panels with their logos, every other app is in the honeycomb, and your HDMI inputs, Wi-Fi and Settings have their own panel. It has several color themes, a Now playing readout, English and Spanish, and its own screen saver. It has no ads, no rows of recommendations and no internet permission at all, and it's 404 KB. You can try it in your browser before installing.
