Kaset is a native macOS client for YouTube Music built with Swift and SwiftUI. It provides an Apple Music style interface with sidebar navigation and a Liquid Glass player bar, and it supports YouTube Music Premium playback, including DRM protected content, through your existing subscription.
Kaset integrates with macOS features like Now Playing in Control Center, media keys, and Dock menu controls, and it can keep audio playing in the background when the window is closed. It includes track notifications, Force Touch haptic feedback, and keyboard shortcuts for playback and navigation, plus Explore, search, and access to your library such as playlists, liked songs, and subscribed podcasts. Additional features include lyrics with AI powered explanations and mood analysis, Apple Intelligence based on device for natural language commands and playlist refinement, queue management, native sharing via the macOS share sheet, and a kaset URL scheme for opening specific songs directly.
