What is Kalm - Comment Bot & Ad Blocker?

Kalm is a Chrome extension that combines ad and tracker blocking with YouTube comment bot protection. Its ad engine is based on uBlock Origin Lite, including YouTube ad filters, per-site filtering levels, element removal and custom filters.

The comment blocker checks links in the comment, the author's public bio and visible channel-promotion shelves before revealing comments. This can filter accounts behind ordinary-looking copied comments when their public channel information matches a rule. Users can add sites and literal keywords to one list, optionally hide all comments containing links, and turn comment protection off separately.

Rules and cached author decisions stay in the browser. Kalm has no account, analytics or hosted comment screening service. It requests public channel information from YouTube for uncached authors.

It does not classify profile pictures or detect copied text itself. Channel-promotion rules can hide legitimate accounts, and author checks can delay comment display. Chrome is the public store release; Firefox and Safari builds are development previews. An updated UI is pending store approval.
