If you need a simple free method to protect web access on a computer, this will do the job.
It is truly free, although you will need to use your email address to get a license. Multiple licenses are also not a problem.
The downsides:
You can't remotely manage the software. It has to be done directly on the installed machine.
There is no visible indication if there are actually any updates taking place. There are no apparent version numbers visible on the web site itself, and you have no idea if the downloads available there are actually newer versions or not.
Due to the above, I don't know if the URL database is updated either.
Apart from those minor annoyances, the software works well, and is relatively unobtrusive.
For simple basic blocking, this program does the job perfectly. But if you're looking for a more customized experience, this is not for you!
This is primarily suited for Parental control, for productivity, it's too basic to work.
It used to work great but ever since i upgraded to high sierra on my mac K9 will not install properly and does absolutely no filtering at all.
