Jira Desktop Unofficial (JDU) information
What is Jira Desktop Unofficial (JDU)?
Jira Desktop Unofficial (JDU) gives Jira its own dedicated desktop window — clean, focused, and free from browser tab clutter. Built with Tauri (Rust), it uses a fraction of the memory and disk space compared to Electron-based alternatives.
Works with Jira Cloud, Jira Server, and Jira Data Center. Remembers your Jira URL and window preferences across sessions. No tracking, no telemetry, no data collection.
Compared to Electron apps (~350MB RAM, ~120MB download), JDU runs at ~80MB RAM with an ~8MB installer and starts in under 2 seconds.
