Jamodio is an online rehearsal studio that lets musicians play together in real time from different locations. It is built for bands, cover groups, music teachers and solo musicians looking for people to jam with.
Audio is handled by a lightweight native agent (Windows and macOS) that connects to your audio interface, with ASIO support and small buffer sizes for low latency. Sessions run through a European server infrastructure (hosted in France) optimized for groups of 2 to 10 musicians. A detailed latency display shows each participant's connection quality.
Private studios (for your band or students) include:
- Multi-track recording of the full mix and individual stems
- Video (cameras) during rehearsal
- A shared library for documents (charts, lyrics, backing tracks)
- Metronome and backing track playback
- Talkback with AI noise suppression, so only your voice comes through between songs
- VST3 and AU plugin hosting
Public jam sessions are free and open to everyone: themed rooms (rock, jazz, blues...) where you can join other musicians without knowing them beforehand.
The community space includes a customizable avatar, a musician directory with a map (search by instrument, style, level and location) and direct messaging.
Pricing is freemium: a free plan (2 people, 30 minutes a day, plus free access to public jams) and paid plans for solo musicians, teachers and bands (up to 10 musicians). Audio quality is the same on every plan.
