IST Vector Postprocessor information
What is IST Vector Postprocessor?
IST Vector Postprocessor is a desktop application for visualizing, analysing and presenting finite-element and mesh simulation results on Windows and Linux. It supports EnSight Gold Case files, VTK formats—including VTU, VTP, VTM, legacy VTK and PVD time collections—as well as OBJ and STL geometry. The application can display nodal and element-based scalar, vector and tensor fields using contours, iso-lines, iso-surfaces, arrows, streamlines, pathlines, tensor glyphs and deformed shapes. It also provides transient-result animation, part and material visibility controls, section planes, threshold filtering, data probes, symmetry and periodic copies, field-recovery filters, error estimation and mesh-quality reports. Views can be reproduced using saved projects and figure recipes. Results can be exported as publication-quality vector PDFs, view collages, contour batches and H.264 MP4 animations. An interactive OpenGL viewport, automatic best-view selection, cinematic camera tours and high-fidelity rendering options help turn raw simulation output into clear technical figures and presentations. IST Vector Postprocessor is a postprocessing and visualization tool; it does not generate meshes or solve finite-element models.
