What is Intermission?
Sitting for hours in front of a computer screen has its consequences. Headaches, eye pain, burnout, and what doctors call Computer Vision Syndrome.
Intermission (formerly Breaks For Eyes) helps you look away from your devices, so you can avoid those side effects.
By default, Intermission will block your screen every 20 minutes, for 20 seconds.
It's completely customizable. You can choose to have subtle reminders instead of having your entire screen blocked. And you can adjust how often and for how long you take breaks. If you want to change the message that appears during your break, you can do that too!
It sits quietly in your menu bar, where you can easily snooze your breaks for some time (30 min, 1h, 2h, 4h, a day) if you have a meeting or are watching a movie.
Intermission can send you a heads up notification 5 or 20 seconds before it starts, and you can skip it or delay it if you still need a few more minutes to focus.
Take care of your eyes!
