It consists of 4 separately-installable packages: the Zip and UnZip command-line utilities; and WiZ and MacZip, which are graphical user interfaces for archiving programs in Microsoft Windows and classic MacOS, respectively.
Comments and Reviews
Because it is small, well documented and portable. Plus each executable is quite standalone.
For sure is not so common or updated, but it works quite well. I love it.
It's not an alternative to 7zip and such because this one is CLI-based. But in the world of CLI zipping tools, the only other one I can think was the (now) very old PKZIP/PKUNZIP.
