incove

incove is a private video app for capturing short everyday moments — a couple of seconds a day is enough — and keeping them inside a circle of one's own choosing. There is no public feed, no follower graph, no recommendation algorithm and no stranger matching. Every clip lands first on a personal solo timeline, and sharing it with anyone else always takes an explicit action.

The app can be used entirely alone, as a video diary with an audience of one, or together with small closed circles such as family or a few close friends. Circles are invite-only, and a person can belong to several of them at the same time.

Echo is the app's signature feature: a message sealed alongside a video that stays locked until an unlock date the user picks, anywhere from one day to five years ahead, with six months as the default. It opens only on that day.

Recap builds a single video out of saved clips over any time range the user chooses. Finished recaps can be shared outside the app if the user wants them to be.

Virtual accounts are proxy accounts and editable video avatars for pets, babies or family members who cannot film themselves. Each one keeps its own timeline and recaps, and Echoes can be addressed to them for a future date.

The home screen is built over the user's own photo and can be decorated with text, stickers and video.

All videos and messages are end-to-end encrypted using RSA-OAEP-3072 and AES-256-GCM, with key derivation through Argon2id. The server holds no content-decryption key and cannot read user content.

incove is available on Android and is free to download, with an iOS version planned. The website is available in Korean, English and Indonesian. It is operated by TenYoung Labs.
