The extension is intended to complement image features that (I think) is missing from Opera by default or give features that are just simply useful.
Hover zoom
Enlarges thumbnails and linked images (or even linked thumbnails) into a popup with just a mouse hover.
Viewer
Replaces the browser's default image resizer to a more customizable version. For instance, it's possible to set the initial sizing mode or disable the resizing totally.
Tools
- Shortcuts
- Opening images
- Send image to...
Sieve
This is a set of rules which are helping the extension to find the larger images.
The rules are based on regular expressions, JavaScript and a bit of HTML.
Gallery
This is something like a bookmark for images. It stores only the image address with a thumbnail, and if possible, then one or two source link. The "Source", which is the address of the page where you've seen the image, and the "Target", which is the address of the link (if it wasn't the same as the zoomed image address).
When an image is opened or "hoverzoomed", then pressing the shortcut (G by default) will add it to the list without any questions. Shift + G will prompt for labels. Deleting images from the list: Ctrl + Right click on the thumbnail cell or Ctrl + Click to select some and the minus button from the button-list. Shift + Right click on a cell to edit the labels.
Grants
At Grants you can tell on which sites can the extension work.
It's also possible to block just some Sieve rules.
Comments and Reviews
Go to settings "Send image to" and delete everything off there, it sells your data if you don't
Once you do that its a great program.
Very useful for previewing images and gifs by hovering over them, as well as .webm format (Instagram stories, and Vidme videos)
EDIT
Consider also downloading "Clickable links" for chrome on image URLs that don't render correctly, such as commit histories on github. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clickable-links/mgamelhnfokapndfdodnmfiningckjia?hl=en-US

Do you have a source for the claim that it sells your data? And why would disabling the "Send image to" feature (i.e. reverse image search that you trigger with a shortcut) disable that?
From Imagus/Imagus Mod Team:
An updated version of Imagus - Imagus Mod has been released. There are additional options and updated sieves. We recommend using it now.
Search for updated versions of the sieves on "Imagus Reddit" (into a search engine). There you should also ask your questions about problems with Imagus / Imagus Mod.

The only extension for this kind of functionality available. Unfortunately developer has abandoned it since 2020. Newest sieves (support 600+ sites) should be added manually and are available from: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wvxwxvw/Imagus_sieve_RuBoard/master/updated.txt
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wvxwxvw/Imagus_sieve_RuBoard/master/updated.txt This link is long out of date. The new sieves for Imagus (for 2024-05) can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/imagus/new/
The Best extension at what it does.
The only problem with this is that it doesn't work with the new Deviantart.com layout
All work fine. Ask for the new sieves on the Imagus group on Reddit.
Great extension, but unfortunately Imagus's author has deprecated Imagus and hasn't had much time to work on the replacement, according to a post they made on Reddit.
"[They were planning on] ...deprecating it in favor of something better, which I was working on for a quite while now, but in the last year I barely touched it, so it's stagnating."
