What is idmly?

idmly converts a self-contained HTML or AI-generated design into a native, fully editable Adobe InDesign (.idml) file. Instead of rebuilding a layout by hand, you drop in an .html file and get back real InDesign text frames, named paragraph and character styles, and charts redrawn as editable vector objects — not a flattened PDF or a screenshot.

It renders the file in a real browser and reads the computed layout, so it works with the output of Claude, ChatGPT, Figma, Canva, v0 and plain hand-written HTML alike, regardless of the CSS framework. The resulting .idml opens directly in Adobe InDesign, and also in Affinity Publisher.

The first two pages of any file convert free with no signup. A one-time $49 license unlocks unlimited, full-document conversions.
