Holler Bell is a free desktop app that runs Claude Code, Codex, shells and SSH sessions in one window. When an agent finishes and waits for you, it shows you which session it is: the session gets an amber mark and a notification, and the waiting count goes up. Working sessions stay quiet. Click the waiting count to jump to the session that has waited longest. You can mute a session, and a muted session never notifies you. Holler Bell has no AI of its own: it runs the agents you already have.
Sessions sit under the folder they run in, and views put the sessions for a task side by side. After a restart, Resume all brings your sessions back: agents continue their conversations and SSH sessions in tmux reconnect. Plain shells start fresh. Recent lets you pick up an earlier Claude Code or Codex conversation, even one that didn't run in Holler Bell.
It runs on your machine. There's no account and no cloud relay, and nothing from your terminals reaches the makers of Holler Bell; the app only contacts them to check for and download updates. Your agents talk to their own providers under their own terms. Free, at home and at work, no trial period. Not open source. Agent sessions need Claude Code or the Codex CLI installed. Windows, macOS 12 or newer (Apple Silicon and Intel), and Linux.
