HexaGalaxy

HexaGalaxy is a free-to-play, browser-based multiplayer space strategy game set in the year 2284, after a cataclysmic event known as the Great Fracture shattered the known universe into isolated sectors. Players take on the role of Commanders — elite pilots navigating a vast galactic map rendered in HTML5 Canvas, with no download or installation required.

Explore a configurable grid-based galaxy, colonize resource-rich planets, and build an interstellar empire from scratch. Manage two key resources — Quantium (the primary currency for construction and upgrades) and Fuel (consumed as you travel across the map). Install extractors on your planets to generate income, and invest in 5 tiers of weapons and planetary defenses, each upgradable to level 10.

Combat is resolved through a tactical power-based system featuring a sigmoid win-chance curve, a fatigue mechanic that discourages attack-spamming, and tier-weighted losses that reward long-term investment in elite units. Winners earn Quantium loot proportional to the enemy's strength. A full diplomacy system lets you declare war, negotiate peace treaties, or remain neutral with other players — alliances and betrayals shape the political landscape of each universe.

Everything happens in real-time: ship movements, battles, chat (global and private), notifications, and diplomacy updates are all synchronized instantly via WebSocket. New players are guided by an interactive 14-step tutorial and benefit from 72 hours of protection. Multiple independent universes ensure there's always room for new Commanders. The game is available in English and French.
